Message unless it shows up on the receipt that the regulator was replaced. Shop could just do the mechanical parts since those are prone to wear. A good shop should do it but it's pretty much up to the discretion of the technician doing the servicing.

My OEM alty was rebuilt years ago due to a faulty regulator - that repair lasted about 4 years (a few thousand miles) then failed again. Go figure?
