Message Rather than run the flexible braided line or silicone I'm thinking about using some 316 SS with AN fittings in a few spots for fuel, coolant and/or oil. I've made plenty of SS lines for fluid and gas transfer at work but always used a swagelok ferrule tube fitting opposed to flaring and using AN fittings.

The main draw for me is to replace the silicone hose I have feeding coolant to my front mount turbo set up on my '90 (not the motor in my post from yesterday). With some hard lines I could tuck the coolant hoses in towards the engine block and really clean things up in the engine bay.

Bought myself a Ridgid 377 flaring tool today so it'll happen. Just debating stainless vs aluminum lines. I prefer the SS tube but all the fittings I have are aluminum. I'm not sure about using aluminum sleeves, nuts and fittings with SS lines. I'm less worried about the nuts and sleeves and more concerned about the mating surface of the SS tube flare to the aluminum AN fitting.
