Message	exhaust gases into both sides of the intake manifold are still attached to the valve. It is not easy to get back in there. The valve is bolted to the lower plenum and is quite close to the firewall. I have done the job with the transmission out, which provides access from the rear. You can easily remove the the valve feed tube from the left manifold and cap the hole. I cut the upper plenum feed tubes in 1/2 for ease of removal. My posting with pictures may still be available.
