Message least expect them. I had one designate on my wife's I30 when parked in the garage and the brake lights came on. By the time it was ready for use some 24hrs later the battery was dead.

On my Z car the button failed on the clutch safety start switch sometime while traveling to the store. Of course when I came out a short time later and depressed the clutch the car would not start. Had to use my feet to depress the safety switch to start the car. Others may have not known what happened and called tow service.

IMO the buttons are not a good design compared to older cars where the contact was a metal tab with a rubber cushion.

Also the Nissan OEM green buttons are hard to install because they are pretty stiff and in the limited space are hard to push in.
