Message there is an adjustment for lateral and vertical position of the center main bearing. Also even a balanced DS will have some runout so it needs to be addressed. Some small harmonics can sometimes be reduced by clocking the DS at the rear end with different positions of the DS to the rear flange of the rear end.

If you take apart the factory assembled 2 piece and are going to use it index the center main bearing positions to the front and rear DS so they go back the same way.

After you do work on the DS consider replacing the tranny rear mount, they sag with age (but still look ok) and that puts the front DS at a out of spec angle from tranny rearward.
