Message	when I replaced mine they would not "collapse" like that. Mine were more "solid". In my opinion they should not move unles the camshaft lobe is forcing it open. I replaced all of mine with ITM lifters and they have unctioned well without any issues pushing 650+ to the wheels. Since it is a PITA I would replace them since you will be in that area. Good luck!
