Just wondering if someone out there has replaced synchronizers and noisy bearings in their manual transmissions. I know many have opted for the '99 model. I have a press and tools and have successfully repaired a Borg-Warner T-5 a Honda Civic Si 6-speed; but before I embark on this adventure I would like to hear from someone who may have tried this refresh and the subsequent results. The trans in my car does not grind in gears or pops out of any gear. I believe the synchronizer orientation tabs are worn, allowing the engagement teeth (the diamond shaped teeth on the slider, gear and synchronizer) to fixate point-to-point at times. When this happens, it becomes difficult to engage a gear. Problem occurs only when cold and only in 1st and 2nd.
