So im a long time lurker, hello! Read a lot of stuff on the forum during the eons. Very helpful. Here's my scenario and I am asking for some tech questions as well as some advice. I know buying a front clip is easier, but we don't have that here in this country and shipping to here is prohibitively expensive since its too big. I can buy small stuffs in the US up to the size of a radiator for very little shipping money, but for big stuff,i'll have to think creatively.Years ago I owned a USDM 95 TT stick(no mods) and sold it to a friend after enjoying it for a few years. The bug has been growing and finally I acquired a USDM 95 NA Automatic(No mods) recently. I always wanted a 95 TT manual but guess what, in the whole country where I live there are only just a handful of 300zx, so my choices are limited. The only thing I can do, is to convert this car to a TT and manual, at the same time. Now, from my ownership times, I have the following spare parts available still in my garage: 1. A working 95 TT engine long block(no fuel components), including plenum. so i don't have to worry about anything about the engine, just drop it in and im good. I have a pair of used OEM turbo, not sure if its working. 2. a tuned, 12psi boost ECU ( from specialtyZ? been a long time I can't remember, i'll try to find my invoice). I do not want to modify my car in any way, but this ECU can be used on an OEM car , or so I believed. I maybe wrong. 3. a used 5-speed transmission, no drive shaft. 4. a used OEM 95 TT front bumper. Questions: 1. I've learned that one of the major hassles is the various brackets that the NA car lacks, that's why we need a front clip. Good thing is, I myself can do simple machine works, so if those brackets are make of steel, I can make it myself. Does somebody have pictures comparing what brackets were missing on a NA car? 2. the only difference inside the cabin is the shifter and the dash(no boost gauge), is that right? ( I do not want a boost controller! just my preference) 3. You turn less on the NA steering rack for the same actual angle turned by the rim, am I interpreting it right from z1's writeup? If so , I like it! not going to swap out my NA steering rack. 4. around the key hole, there's no push button that I used to have on my previous TT, is that normal? 5. My previous TT is still around, I can call the current owner to come to my place but that's about it, he agreed to allow me to dissemble up to removing the radiator and front bumper. Is that helpful in anyway? I appreciate any recommendation or ideas.
