Subject	How to test fuel dampener and regulator?

Message	I want to double check and test the fuel pressure dampener and regulator. I have a "lag" problem at low rpm it seems to or respond as quickly as it does when at higher Rpms. The car is NA. I also tryed to set the idle but it doesn't look like the AAC connector made a difference when I connected the Rpms are supposed to go up after. I followed the Guide and no difference. What is the proper way of checking these items?thanks
