I just finished a drive from VA to FL and towards the end of my drive I noticed a very annoying whining sound that started coming from the back. It wasn't there before. I know my diff is leaking some fluid so I figured it was low. I got the diff serviced but the sound is still the same. Here is a video of the sound. La-Z-Link Could it be that the diff is just going bad and needs a rebuild? Could it be something else? Wheel bearing maybe? It definitely changes with speed as you can hear in the vid and is very noticeable at slow speeds. There is no vibrations and when I'm cursing and I drop it in neutral there doesn't seem to be any change in anything. Also, if it turns out to be a diff, what do you guys recommend, getting a used diff or getting a rebuild kit and rebuilding this one?
