sounds like maybe when you took the lighting pod apart you might've damaged some of the copper leads that send signal when you turn on the lights. all instrument lights, marker, tail, etc,are on the same function. you can take a volt meter and check if you're getting voltage on the right pins when you put the switch on park lights. could also be a broken wire at the harness as well. that happened to me a while back with my headlights. took half the car apart trying to find the problem and right at the harness connector the wire had broke but the insulation was still intact. hope this helps
