My water pump bearings went on me(very noisy)so I pulled all the belts,crank pulley etc. off the front of motor and thought I might as well do the timing belt as I'm not sure when it was done last(probably at 60K service).The car has 143K KM.(about 89ooo miles)on it.My question is ,do I have to replace the belt tensioner,cam and crank seals as stated in the 120 K service or should I just replace the pump and timing belt?I'm no mechanic and I'm leery of changing out the seals and the dealer wants over $200 Cdn. for the belt tensioner that looks fine.
