If it starts in drive you have successfully bypassed all safety features,lol. I am going to have to say your inhibitor sensor is not functioning, but the combination of your other symptoms suggest that the trans is missing a power wire somewhere. Anti theft is in the starter circuit, as well. Make sure you have unlocked the drivers door(with the key, from the outside door lock) to disable it. I think subbing the TCU for a known good one could tell you something....
