I got a 1996 tt engine fairly cheap with a recent rebuild and documents. I have a 1990 tt whose engine has a lower end noise; that has been pulled. I considered a rebuild for that one, but have not gotten into it yet to see what I am looking at replacing. I wanted to ask if anyone has any suggestions about the VCT. I know 96 aint got no, but can I just use the 90 cams in the 96 heads? Can I just not use VCT at all?(real question: Will my 90 ECU be pissed about it?) I considered just adapting the injector harnesses from P2 to P1, and did not know of any other critical harness differences...any advise here would be great. I have molested several Honda harnesses in my day, but Nissans not so much yet. I have also though about rebuilding the 90 heads and using the 96 bottom. Probably less PITA that way. Opinions are great, but I really need some personal experience here. If anyone has tried this let me know. Thanks
