So search is not giving me clear direction on the outer metal sleeves for all the suspension arms and knuckle bushings in the rear. When I remove the original rubber bushings, do I need to keep or remove the outer metal sleeves that are pressed into the arms and knuckles themselves, and that the rubber bushing is bonded to? The ES instructions suck and don't talk about this. Their website discusses control arm bushings and says to reuse original ones (for a general install, not specific to the z32). I found a post on here from several years ago where one person said to remove the outer sleeves, but none of the write-ups on here specifically talk about the outer sleeves for these parts. All the write-ups I've found on ES bushings are for the sub-frame, diff, front suspension arms, or don't discuss the details for removing and pressing in the actual bushings themselves. They just say to remove them. I found several you-tube videos for other cars where the installers are cutting out the outer metal ring to make way for the new ES bushings. It seems to me that the outer rings need to go, given the diameters involved.
