Message of the radiator or there abouts. If not there go to a Nissan Dealer and have them look into their data base with your VIN to see if it was done at a Nissan dealer. If not afraid you do not know unless the previous owner knows, call him. Did you get any records with the car?

Doing it your self? It can be done but it is not a easy job for a beginner. You need to really be familiar with the Z32 timing belt details. Look into the manual to read up on it and look into the Tech tab on this site for all the steps. It is not just the belt that gets replaced but the tensioner, cam seals, crank seal, and other stuff. There is the 60000 and 120000 timing belt service and the later has more things to do. Since your car is at 80000 and is near 23 years old I recommend you do the 120000 service if you do the timing belt. Find a Z32 specialist and see what they charge.

As far as waiting to 100k that is a gamble, if the belt breaks the Z32 is an interference engine and the pistons hit the valves and that leads to expensive engine work.

Usually a belt that breaks looks great except at the break.

Where are you located add it to your profile so we know how to direct you the Z32 shops that can service your car for things that you do not want to or can't do.

Ask for help here before you agree to spend $$$$. These cars can suck the life out of a wallet if not careful but they are fun when all works well.
