If you're building a dedicated track car, or just one that you're planning to take to the track quite often it makes sense. The solid bushings/mounts will help tighten up the chassis as well as make the suspension do the flexing rather then some bushings. For the cage, you'll be better off having a custom one built in the car. That way they can build it to the specs of the sanctioning body you want to run with, and also make sure it fits around you properly.
