For the past 4-5 years i have had an intermittent problem with the engine running rough and decreased power. What started out as a few seconds of weird rough running in the morning after start up(3-4 times a year) then it would resolve-- has evolved into the past week as almost nearly constant. I remember a similar "feeling" problem when i did not connect the PTU properly after relocation but that was my recollection several years ago not sure my memory can be trusted. It will spontaneously switch back and forth sometimes from this rumbly rough sound when you accelerate to smooth running perfection. Codes are 55. O2 sensors checked out fine but in the middle of checking everything at idle it began to run fine again. Then i shut it down for a few minutes and upon restart the rumbly feeling and sound returned. No vacuum leaks at all, just tested. What can i start on next to try to find the problem?
