Message	It definitely doesn't sound like rod knock... although someone correct me if I'm wrong. It sounds almost lifter related, but don't stuck lifters usually free up after being heated up, as opposed to the opposite in your case? It could be a small exhaust leak somewhere. Perhaps a flange somewhere, moving under the expansion of metals and causing a tiny leak. They can definitely sound like a tick, or "chop chop chop" sound. Are you getting any unusual exhaust smells from under the hood?
