get car up about 6" to 8", chock the driver side wheels. Could also use other methods described above what ever works. ***Engine cooled off ***. Then loosen the fill plug to make sure if drained you can get fluid back in. Drain the fluid, with the tilt 99% will drain out. Clean the smooge (metal goop) off the drain plug and reinstall. Inspect fluid in pan for metal chips-bad if there. Stick a hose in the fill plug and lock it in with a rag. I run the hose up to between the battery, put a funnel on it and pour in the fluid. Put in 3 quarts, that's what I have been doing and it is darn close to the correct level. Replace the fill plug. No need to torque the crap out of the plugs, they are tapered thread and excessive tightening could crack the case - bad. Put some pipe thread dope like teflon paste or teflon tape on the plug threads before install (same stuff used on irrigation pipe PVC threads). Could also use Permatex non hardening thread sealant.
