Message	screen calls for. Example: if the screen says it draws 1A of current and you have it hooked into a 15A circuit, and somehow the current draw spikes. It might not be enough for the 15A fuse to pop but it will damage the icolor screen if it sees 2-3A over a short period. this is completely possible during transient periods that it draws more current than it can take.. thats all i can say from the limited information you have given assuming grounds are good.
