Its going to leak no matter what you do with RTV. I pulled the engine, the passenger side turbo and then the oil pan. Extracted the bolt and put it all back together. I was able to do that in a weekend, first day by myself. If you can get the engine to tranny mounts loose on the passenger side, you can remove the oil pan by dropping the front crossmember. You won't be able to get the tranny mount bolts all the way out as they'll hit the oil tree (however, next time you have them off, you can cut notches for removal), but this should give you enough room to access the oil pan bolts.
