Its tough to tell as you have what appears to be a decent amount of rust on the DS, but check to see if there is any scoring on the shaft that could be caused by the shifter/ striking rod making contact. As mentioned the tailshaft of that tranny is beat to hell. Judging by the damage, that occurred prior to the 5sp swap. The carrier bearing appears to be making some noise as well but that's definitely not causing the pronounced metallic rubbing noise which seems to be coming from the DS slip yoke area. Good Luck
