If you use 500+ mechanical-lash cams, you will drop your dynamic compression ratio to around 6.65:1 with stock TT pistons. With VTC off, you're looking at around 5.5:1! Lower with combustion chamber deshrouding work. That cam is so large that it will practically require a higher static CR. Sure, you can advance the intake timing as much as 10 degrees with the BDE cams, but this won't change the larger duration. Hand porting can vary wildly between heads. What do you mean by "extreme"? Greg, you keep claiming many things that go against common consensus on engine building.
