It looks like your rubber seal on the threads might be normal...... [ http://forums.nicoclub.com/iacv-aac-cleaning-and-testing-tutorial-t251133.html ] There is mention of using carb-cleaner, but I would not let carb-cleaner get on the rubber seal (duh). There is no mention of replacing the rubber seal or that it is de-formed/compressed, so I think your idea of silicone spray/di-electric grease is good. Apparently, his re-assembly and functioning was successful without replacing it. Otherwise, maybe there is a Viton or suitable replacement seal of the same dimensions? Please let us know how it turns out cuz maybe we'll have to do this, too :)
