can be done, however. Pulling separately, long extensions on a 3/8 drive will get the top transmission bolts from the rear. Tranny jack comes in handy, but not necessary. Re-installation made easier with a couple of "guide studs" made from old tranny bolts with the heads cut off. Line them up and slide it together. Transmission jack makes this easy, especially if you chain it down when you remove it. If you don't remove it from the jack, it's in the correct orientation for reinstall.
