Message same tuning parameters. A gallon of conventional fuel produces about 20% more energy than a gallon of E85; however, ethanol is tuned using 30% more fuel. You get the added power from the fuel alone (tuned properly). Additionally, because of the higher octane of the E85 (106ish octane), you can then tune the car more aggressively when compared to pump gas (ie. More boost, more timing, and a leaner fuel mixture). It's racing fuel with an added punch. Based on the dynos I've seen, our cars make an additional 5-8% peak power (and additional power and torque across the whole RPM band), compared to the same tune on q16. SZ tunes E85 Zs to a limit of (about) 550rwhp with the 740cc injectors. Mark PS Did you find out what that junk was in your plenum?
