Hey team. I’m plumbing some fuel and oil lines. I have a few questions about fittings. When do you need to use a rubber o-ring or a crush washer? I noticed the Z1 Full Flow Oil Cooler setup, as well as most aftermarket oil coolers, use a rubber o-ring or a crush washer when going from A/N adapter fitting to the cooler or sandwich plate (1/2" NPT or -12AN). What’s the rule? As long as it goes from 37* A/N flare to 37* A/N flare, you don’t need an o-ring or washer? My BDE fuel rails came with o-ring adapter fittings from the rail to the -6AN male outlet. Does the same hold true for fuel? As long as it goes from A/N flare to A/N flare, you don’t need a o-ring or washer?
When do you use the crush washers and when do you using the o-rings?
