Message	You can swap speedometer boards between the same year NA and TT gauge clusters except for the 1991 gauge clusters. In 1991 a third type of speedometer gauge was introduced into the mix. This gauge can only be used in 1991 NA gauge clusters. And as you know, the TT speedometers have a cutout for the boost gauge and the NA does not. If you swap the gauge you'll need to swap the gauge faces first. Or you can remove the "mechanical" gauge from the boards and just swap them. I suggest doing it this way so you don't have to mess with the needles. I have a way to remove the needles without worry of damage.
