The difference between how I did it and Evan did it. We zeroed the dial but putting the cam completely off lobe. rotated engine CW until we hit .050 coming on lobe. marked Spun engine CW rotated until we hit .050 but not the .050 from peak, it's actually .050 from being completely off lobe. Those measurements were 228-232 very close to JWT 500+ spec card. Your technique is probably just fine as well as long as your are dead certain to be TDC (I did same as even, piston stopper).
If you see where Evan got his 115 degrees, it's about 8:00 o clock on his degree wheel. This is 225 degrees after TDC. Your wheel would read the same thing on the outter ring. Go to BDC (180) and add another 55 degrees from there.
