Message available (over 10 years). When they first came out, some people assumed they "wouldn't work" whatever that meant. Like many new developments, they are resisted just 'cause it's new. Iridium plugs use a smaller diameter center electrode that makes the spark less apt to "blow out" under high boost/compression.
