Message when you found top dead center, did you move the wheel where it was at 0 degrees? If you do that and put your spark plug tool in and rotate the motor, you should have the same difference of degrees from TDC. Example 40 degrees BTDC then rotate and see 40 degrees ATDC. Definitely need to find TDC perfect before continuing on.

After that, you need to make sure you are doing your calculations correctly. Add up that entire range of .050 to .050 and divide by two. The wheel can be confusing because after 180, it starts counting down again. Example.

.050 you find at 15 but it's before 0 TDC. Second .050 you find at 140 but it's after 180 BDC. You have to add 15+180+40=235 then divide by 2. That is your number.

Is that right Grimm? My buddy who was a mechanic helped me with this. We just did it a few weeks ago.

We set them at 116 and 125 and were within .5 degrees.
