I pulled the pan when I was still NA to replace rod bearings by supporting the engine with a 4x4 and slings and using a jack stand on the crank pulley and jack under the trans as insurance. After I did my TT swap I had an oil pressure issue. I had my friend come over and weld an allthread rod (about 12-18 inches long as I recall) to the pan at the dent. The rod had a 1/4” or 3/8” plate about the size of a playing card welded to the other end and I used a 3 lb sledge to knock it down. Then cut off the rod close to the pan, re-weld the rod, knock downward, cut, re-weld, etc. Got the dent out and solved the oil pressure issue. I’d say the weld and hammer method was FAR easier than pulling the pan.
