r0m1r3z, As zuberman has suggested, check the solder joints where the pins from the display chip go through the circuit board. On the back of the circuit board each pin should show a nice shiny, solid solder joint. If you suspect that any one of them is not correct (cracked solder, not shiny but very dull looking/corroded), someone who works in electronics can unsolder the bad connections and then resolder them correctly. Its really quite easy to do. If you could repost your picture of the circuit board and its back side as well, but much larger, that would really help us track down your issue. This kind of repair is quite common in car electronic circuit boards, on all makes of cars and trucks. You'd be surprised at the number of switches and instruments that have just this same issue. By the way, its good to know that on the back side of the planet that there's some people who enjoy the older 300ZX as much as we do here in Canada and the US.
