and then run the engine again afterwards? I would be careful with whatever you do, you don't want too much volume of any liquid remaining in your cylinders when cranking as it will raise the compression ratio. I would use a toothbrush and a rag to clean it out during the compression stroke (valves closed), and make sure to clean all the reside up well. changing the oil afterward would also be a good idea, prior to running it, in the event anything made it into the oil (not likely)
