Message	Condition of engine? (seating surfaces) Mileage? Oil-loss between oil-changes? Ambient temperature? The following ranges may help give you a start: Above 0 F......10W-30, 10W-40 Above 50 F......20W-40, 20W-50 Below 61 F......5W-30 Strictly speaking for myself I use 10w40. It's sweltering muggy hot around here, but there are still many mornings when it's pretty cold. I would move up to the 20w50 if it were a frequent track car. Hope that helps :)
