so i'm doin some work on my car and while prepping the heads to reinstall ehaust valve covers I noticed the letters "68" stamped on both heads on the surface where the exhaust valve covers go. 2 years ago I had the heads <40p> shaved and the guy that did it said he took off about 7 thousands but there were no stamps where he resurfaced them indicating how much was shaved. so i'm wondering, does that "68" represent how mudh was tken off? (seems plausible) or is this comman for all 40p heads from the factory? and if it does represent what was shaved, wouldn't it make more sense to stamp .007, or something to that effect??
