Yes that ground is attached. If I remember correctly it bolts to the one of the annoying top bolts on the transmission but I put it on the next one down to avoid the headache, the ground is between the transmission and the bolt but I am sure it's on tight.
I do have a multimeter and test light but I am lacking in knowledge as far as electronics go. What exactly are the points on which each lead of the multimeter should go?
Also by "when signaled" the key needs to be turned all the way correct?
