Message So I posted a while back that I solved my clanking noise issue but I was mistaken. Noise was still there after replacing my cracking tension rod bushing. Noise was front left wheel area that was only heard when I took off from a stop. A buddy of mine came over to listen for it after I told him I was about to take it to a shop since I had checked all suspension components and all bolts underneath but the sound was persisting. He too could hear it front left wheel clear as day.

We jacked the car up and started checking for bearing play and what-not (things I had already done before). He randomly spun the tire around by hand and there was the sound. The sound that's been pudding me off all Summer. There was something inside the tire that was free to fly around in there and bang up against the inside of the wheel causing that horrible clanking noise. Makes sense as I never heard it while going faster than 2 mph since it would be forced against the tire from the centripetal force.

Took it to a tire shop today and they confirmed one of the two nuts on the inside portion of the valve stem had backed off and was flying around in there.
