So I made a pass. While pulking in 4th I looked down noticed my a/f readings were great like 12.2 but boost was holding at 22lbs. I'm on stock heads and bottom end with jwt 600s old school and msp manifolds. The pull didn't feel great though. As I was coming to a stop about 2 mins later I noticed my fan kicked on and my gauge started to climb real bad. The small coolant crossover hose on the pass side in the back came loose and pissed out a lot of coolant so it boiled over.
So I know for starters the car does start flawlessly still, but when I went to pressure test the cooling system it dropped off super fast for about 15 seconds then held pressure. The coolant wasn't coming out of the block though it was going into one of the cylinders and I hydrolocked. Needless to say I bought an oem Nissan head gasket kit, but my question is what is the loneliness of bottom end damage if it overheated that badly? I have a spare motor and heads. I'll be sending the heads to get freshener up but should I just rebuild my spare motor and throw it in? Budget is tight so I'd be doing the heads in the car. Any options or advice would be greatly appreciated at this point. Thanks guys.
