| So my motor has spun a rod bearing and it's time I get it repaired right. Last time was about 2 years ago and I just had the bearing replaced. Something is likely out of round and I'd prefer it not happen again. I have two paths: 1) Buy a used motor, pay the labor to have it put in and hope it doesn't have any other issues. 13 hrs labor + motor 2) Have my mechanic open up my existing one, and rebuild/repair. 22 hrs labor + parts While I am having this done, he recommends now is a good time to replace turbos: His recommendation is the HKS 2560 kit, ARC intercoolers, and a LinkECU management system. I currently have 740 cc injectors, split dual intakes, Selin dual maf unit, and an aftermarket chip to match. All else is in the car is stock. I am not fond of the aftermarket engine management stuff, but maybe I can be convinced. What are your thoughts on all of this? What would you do differently? All advice greatly appreciated.
