| Two sites said Black/Red is the antenna control, one said Green/Black. Also, it appears there are two Black/Red wires. One for a speaker, one for the antenna. The speaker wire should be on a different harness. According to these diagrams, the blue wire you spliced into is the power supply to the stereo, so that is why it wouldn't turn on with that connected to the antenna. The stereo will only have the antenna up if it is in radio mode, so if you want to control the antenna manually (like an override) wire the stereo's antenna wire to a toggle switch, wire the other side to the black/red wire on the car side.
