As you may have read in the General section I'm doing a tranny swap. The OE tranny going in is probably 4 years old. It might have 2,000 - 3,000 miles on it.
My question is: should I do a fluid change for the MT-90?I read an old post from Bernie thats said to keep the oem fluid for 15,000. The transmission has been in storage with a tail shaft cap but nothing to cover the hole for the speed sensor? It spent 2 or 3 years in storage at the dealership followed by another year in my garage. Also theres no way for me to know if some of the fluid spilled when the previous owner pulled it? I put my finger in the fill hole and the fluid level is a few inches below the plug. Any thoughts?
