| That in itself is interesting. I had an aluminum flywheel that a bolt stripped from. I put helicoil's (or time-serts, or keen-serts) in all the holes (just in case that small weight difference mattered for balance). Never felt any different than before removing it. I think most people will suggest replacing the flywheel as it is somewhat of a critical part, but I was in a time crunch at the moment, and helicoil threads are stronger than the aluminum threads it was replacing.
