| I suspect not. Is this more Z drama or is this for real?
I am using the pancake air compressor at 60+ psi to check the oil lines going to the turbo. Air and remainder oil seems to be seeping through this line but very, very, verrrrry slowly. So slow that there's no drop in pressure after a 30 second test in the small compressed air tank. I'm blowing from the turbo side towards the engine block which is in reverse of the oil flow. Air flow should come through the bango with the bolt removed but I don't think it should matter which side of this pipe I'm pressurizing. Please confirm. There is no obvious obstruction on either side of this red highlighted pipe so either there's a really small orifice inside or there's an obstruction. And it IS on that side which my turbo failed -- the passenger side! I've tried blowing through the driver's side lines and although there's a tiny nipple inside air passes through without any trouble immediately dropping the source pressure of the small volume air tank over the course of this test. ConVerTT, could this be root cause?? (Previous posts regarding my turbo failure)
