| I am very glad to hear that you did your research and have managed to start with some of the basics in diagnostics. Well done! Not many people do that and come here asking to have their hand held. On the IAC there is the FICD and the AAC valve. The FICD has a blue male and accepts a blue female connector. The AAC has a black male and accepts a yellow female connector. It appears that the wrong connector is plugged into your AAC and I can't see the FICD male, perhaps it broke off? They get brittle and a wreckless mechanic might have broken it off and just said "meh". The FICD only bumps up idle when you have your AC on or steering to full lock. It won't cause your idle issues unless it is stuck. The FICD male cannot be purchased seperately. You should get a used IACV and clean it out according to this website: http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.46 The black connector is for your factory boost solenoids, which are located on either side of your engine above the turbos. Do you have an aftermarket boost controller? Detonation sensor is often mixed up with the VTC connector as they are interchangeable. It is a grey 2 pin connector.
