I had the same problem at the start of the season. I struggled and was wondering WHY the alarm light was flashing… Sometimes the horn would go too. I was connecting and reconnecting the battery for the first time since the fall and I thought maybe it didn't have enough to turn the starter over.
My Solution: I disconnected the battery locked the doors and closed them. Reconnected the battery and opened the locked door using the key.
It was obviously an alarm issue. I must have disconnected the battery with the doors locked and reconnected it when they were unlocked. I'm not sure if the starter lock-out is stock or if this is an after market thing. I don't have a FOB - I just use the key and I'm not sur what the previous owner had installed.
