| How is your idle? Seems any vacuum leaks and the idle goes up (or up and down). Definitely no leaks in exhaust? I still have EGR and AIV on my car and normal cats from Midas (then use test pipes after smogging). Running at idle or the high RPM test was no problem. BUT if the smog shop dropped from high rpm to idle immediately, something would spike and I would fail. The second smog shop said old cars must return to idle slowly (he knew the trick) or it would spike. I was able to pass. Please keep us updated because I'm also in CA and would like to bypass EGR.
