wastegate springs are currently making around 13-14 psi.

On initial setup:
1. using PSI (not kPa)
2. setting to P for Poppet (see page 19 for hose setup)
I have positive pressure to the side port of wastegate.
I have positive pressure to motor middle nipple.
I have outer nipple connected to top of wastegate.
I have small outter nipple connected to balance tube.
3. I do a run and it will show standard maximum boost about 14psi. I enter this value after the run in 3rd.
4. leaving target boost at 14 psi.
5. leaving coefficient at 100 until I make changes to target boost.

EVC is now ready and out if initial settings.
I change setting to 18 psi and it changes nothing.
I adjust coefficient and it changes nothing.

What I don't understand:
14 psi will open the wastegate without a controller.
Controller is supposed to supply pressure to top of wastegate to keep it shut past 14 psi. Controller releases pressure through a hole on the motor. This should allow wastegate to open at say 18 psi.

After setup, car power turned on, the motor makes a nice squeal and no air can flow in from middle nipple and out outer tube (to top of wastegate). Why?

Yesterday I had the springs set incredible weak like 10 psi. Somehow I able to adjust car up to 17.8 psi by using the controller. Assumed 17.8 was max because spring was so uncompressed. Dialed it up to 14 today and can't get it to work.

Suggestions?

Double checked all hose connections. Crawling under car now to release preload on those wastegate screws and drop it back to 10 psi (8 turns out).

PS when not set to P for Poppet, air can flow through the stepper motor to the top of the wastegate when car is not under boost (aka sitting in garage with key on) which would make it hold boost. WTF.
