| First was a Head Or Head Gasket Failure, that pumped the Cooling System full of engine Oil.. Turned the Coolant to Peanut Butter, and Stopped Flowing.. ( while driving ) COOKED the Motor.. No temp gauge Rise, as peanut Butter stopped flowing.. no heat made it out the Water Flange to the Temp Sensor.. sensor did not show hot.. in hind sight it actually went down.. Too Late! ( I was not driving this one) Second ( Recently ) a Loss of a NEW ( Not Nissan ) Water Pump Bearing.. Sudden Loss of Coolant by the Now Dead Seal.. Pump Still turning but no Coolant in the Upper Half of the Block.. Nothing Circulating.. Temp Stays Normal ( I was watching, as it was HOT outside as I was running the AC ).. My only clue anything was wrong, was when the bearing finally gave out and the fan belt came off, loosing the ALT.. that is when I pulled over to a VERY hot Motor.. Temp Gauge never went over normal on this one till I pulled over.. then it only went to 3/4 of the way up.. These were two different Cars.. Both NA.. So I'm a little Gun Shy as to accuracy of a temp sensor located so far away from the Block that is making the heat.. The First was a COMPLETE rebuild with new heads.. the Second now has a Burned Valve. GREAT another Rebuild.. Cj
